Here to Support Positive Change

At DM Therapy, we believe therapy is more than a weekly appointment — it’s a shared journey towards clarity, resilience, and personal growth. Our role is to listen without judgement, respond with empathy, and adapt our approach to your changing needs.

We care deeply about the people we work with, taking time to understand your story and what truly matters to you. Whether you’re seeking short-term counselling or long-term support, we’ll be present, consistent, and committed to helping you take meaningful steps forward.

Our approach blends compassion with professional expertise — creating a safe space where you can explore challenges, build confidence, and start shaping the life you want.

We’re in this with you—let’s take the next step together.

By Working Together

When you choose DM Therapy, you’re not just booking sessions — you’re starting a partnership built on trust, honesty, and mutual respect. Together, we’ll explore what’s holding you back, set realistic goals, and develop strategies that work in your day-to-day life.

Whether you’re navigating personal struggles, relationship challenges, or professional changes, we’ll walk alongside you — offering tools, encouragement, and a clear path forward. Every step will be at your pace, with your wellbeing at the heart of the process.

Our aim is simple: to help you feel supported, understood, and empowered to make changes that last. You don’t have to face things alone — let’s take the next step, together.

Supporting Children, Empowering Parents

Children learn, heal, and communicate through play — it’s their language for exploring the world and making sense of emotions. At DM Therapy, we recognise that behind every playful moment, there may be feelings, worries, or needs that are hard to express in words.

Whether your child needs help managing big emotions, or you’re seeking guidance as a parent, we’ll work alongside you to create a safe, supportive space. Our approach combines understanding, compassion, and practical strategies — helping children to grow in confidence while giving parents the tools and reassurance to support them at home.

Meet the Therapy Team

Hi, my name is Doreen, and I am a fully qualified BABCP-accredited CBT and couple therapist. I am also the founder and director of DM Therapy Wellbeing Ltd
With over two decades of experience across the NHS, independent sector, and private practice, I am dedicated to delivering the highest standard of professional care and therapeutic services. I ensure a safe, non-judgemental, and welcoming environment for individuals to discuss their feelings, thoughts, and experiences. My approach is focused on supporting both individuals and couples in enhancing self-understanding, rebuilding relationships, processing challenging situations, and developing effective strategies to improve mental health and functioning.

My clinical practice encompasses a broad spectrum of concerns, including generalised anxiety disorder, social phobia, depression, trauma, loss, low self-esteem, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), health anxiety, body dysmorphic disorder (BDD), and work-related stress. I also assist couples navigating relationship challenges. I have a particular interest in working with neurodiverse clients and tailor interventions to meet unique individual needs.
In addition, I am ADOS 2 trained—the gold standard observational assessment for autism spectrum disorder (ASD)—which is integral to comprehensive clinical evaluations. I am committed to providing a supportive space for parents of neurodiverse children, ensuring they feel heard and validated, while helping them develop strategies to maintain their own wellbeing.

Acknowledging that initiating therapy can be daunting, the first session is structured to allow clients to share their difficulties at their own pace. Throughout treatment, we collaborate to identify and achieve therapeutic goals.

I adhere strictly to BABCP policies and ethical standards to ensure safe and effective practice. To schedule an appointment, please click the contact button. I will reach out by phone or email to discuss therapy options prior to confirming your initial session.

Affiliate Adult CBT / EMDR / Relational Psychodynamic & Coaching Therapist
BABCP Accredited | BPS Registered | EMCC Associate Practitioner (in progress)

Hello, my name is Poonam G Jetha, and I am an Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) and EMDR practitioner with over 18 years of clinical experience supporting adults across the NHS, private practice, and independent sectors. I am also a BPS-registered practitioner, currently pursuing a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology at the University of the West of England (UWE), due for completion in 2028.

Alongside my clinical work, I am completing Therapist to Coach training with the EMCC (Associate Practitioner level, due September 2026). This enables me to integrate psychological therapy and coaching to support clients who are seeking both healing and growth — helping them overcome emotional difficulties while moving towards greater clarity, confidence, and well-being.

My Therapeutic Approach
My approach is integrative, drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Relational Psychodynamic Therapy, alongside principles of Coaching Psychology

This combination allows me to work flexibly, depending on your goals — whether you’re looking to process trauma, manage anxiety or depression, explore relational patterns, or build resilience and direction in your personal or professional life.

I believe that therapy works best within a safe, compassionate, and collaborative space, where you feel understood and supported at your own pace. My work focuses on helping you develop deeper self-awareness, process emotional experiences, and create lasting change that aligns with your values and aspirations.

Areas of Expertise
I work with adults experiencing a range of emotional and psychological challenges, including:

  • Anxiety and depression
  • Trauma and post-traumatic stress (PTSD)
  • Low self-esteem and confidence issues
  • Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
  • Work-related stress and burnout
  • Menopause and life transitions
  • Neurodiversity (autism, ADHD)
  • Grief, loss, and adjustment
  • Relationship and attachment difficulties
  • Coaching for personal and professional development

My Ethos
I view therapy as a collaborative process that empowers you to better understand yourself and your experiences. Whether you are managing distress, navigating transitions, or seeking clarity and purpose, my role is to help you find balance and strength within your unique journey.

My practice is inclusive and culturally sensitive. I offer therapy and coaching in English, Hindi, and Urdu, and have experience supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds and identities.

Working Together
Our sessions are tailored to your individual goals and can take place online or in person. The pace and focus of our work will be shaped collaboratively, ensuring that you feel safe, respected, and supported throughout your therapeutic journey.
